TASK 1 A

TASK 1 A
                                                Steve Job

Outcome Oriented
Outcome oriented can be defined in entrepreneur as activities that bring benefits through the development of a profit-oriented business (Cole, 1969). If you, as a facilitator accept the contract to work with a client to achieve their desired outcome, then what? One of the distinguishing features of the kinds of issues presented in therapy, compared to say coaching, is that the path between current state and desired outcome is rarely a straight line. Clients are likely to have multiple ill-formed desires, operating at multiple levels which are likely to change as therapy progresses. So what is a Neurolinguistic Psychotherapist to do? NLD methodology teaches us to adopt an outcome orientation. This is not simply about setting a goal and going for it. Rather it is a flexible and dynamic approach that keeps the clients’ desired outcome firmly in the therapist mind while guiding their choice of behaviour. In other word, the desired outcome should act as a “dynamic reference point” (Penny Tompkis) for each and every thing the therapist does and says. Outcome orientation also means focussing on the actual outcome or result, i.e, what actually happens over different time frames.
In the moment – What the client actually does and says.
In the session – What the client experiences in the session.
Across session – What happens outside the consulting room?
Over the long term – Does the client maintain their outcome?

The entrepreneur that can be related to the outcome oriented is Steve Job, the CEO and co-founder of Apple’s company. This is because Steve Job is a typical highly autocratic leader. Autocratic leadership means that a leader always give instruction and hold over to the employees or team. The team or employees cannot bring up idea even if they are the best. Authoritarian leaders are not concerned about the will and needs of their followers. This means that he emphasize the outcome rather than the process to achieve goals. Autocratic leadership style can direct to speedy decision-making and greater productivity under leader’s supervision. This leadership style perform only when the leader is the best in performing or when the job is inexperienced or where the project is short-term and risky. Because of this kind leadership, Job led Apple into globalization. But it was his complete genius combined with his ability to state clearly about his vision and bring staff, investors and customers along on the journey that made it work. With his type of the leadership that emphasize the outcome oriented, the results is undeniably.
                                     Tan Sri Mokhtar Al-Bukhary

Team Oriented
Definition of team oriented is that you just don’t think of just yourself, you include others in your decisions. Everyone has a contributing factor in the operations and decisions that concern the business or venture. No one is more superior in the business and everybody has an equal say without any repercussions. Business that stress a spirit of teamwork and collaboration can capitalize on the individual strengths of their employees. When effective teams are in place, the collective product is greater than the sum of the individual effort. There are a number of tactics that can foster a team orientation, from team building and diversity workshops to retreats, merit systems that identify and recognize them oriented behaviour and process that facilitate project teams.
Tan Sri Mokhtar Al-Bukhary is the example of team oriented entrepreneur. Tan Sri Mokhtar Al-Bukhary is the owner of the Yayasan Al-Bukhary, a charity foundation that plays a role in helping the poor, support the development of Islamic art and culture as well as promoting understanding between civilizations in March 1996. The main objective of Yayasan Al-Bukhary Foundation is to encourage the Islamic brotherhood. It consists of two part, doing charitable work and managing the funds of any companies. Al-Bukhary Foundation had spent more than RM300 million for religious activities, education and culture. Besides that, Yayasan Al-Bukhary also give financial support only to the poor student from around the ASEAN to study in Malaysia. In 2004, RM400 million from the fund was used to build the complex Al-Bukhary in Alor Setar, Kedah. The complex consists of a mosque, medical center, community center, orphanages, special academy for the elderly and Al-Bukhary International University. Poor student from 47 countries that Muslims are a minority had been provides scholarships by Tan Sri Mokhtar Al-Bukhary. Yayasan Al-Bukhary also often a dialogue of civilizations to promote tolerance and understanding between people of various religions and beliefs. This show that Tan Sri Mokhtar Al-Bukhary is an entrepreneur that applying team oriented traits to achieve success in his organization.

D'Herbs have become a brand that has gained favor by consumers either in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei with the operation formally in Wisma D'Herbs in Kota Damansara and we aim to become one of the famous cosmetic brand in Malaysia and country nationalized neighbors and our goal to worldwide.

DEVELOPMENT OF YEAR 2012 – 2014
Year 2012 was the peak year for D'Herbs products where he has been under Label company as Sendirian Berhad and he has developed his business by moving to 4-storey building belonging to be more strategic and comfortable. With this transfer, the company was able to convince all stockists and distributors to sell and market products D’Herbs with more widespread and thriving.
He also opened of several subsidiaries of the Megah Perawan Sdn Bhd, which produces and sells cosmetic products and a little different concept in which the Megah Perawan Sdn Bhd only deal with a single stockists appointed and will be responsible for marketing the product of Megah Perawan Sdn Bhd throughout Malaysia and so far the demand for these products is very well received by users throughout Malaysia.
D'Herbs also have opened a company named Aliff Herbs Manufacturing Sdn Bhd which is the company is dedicated to manufacturing health and beauty products and he also gave chances to other companies who interested in producing products under this company. Providing facilities and services from the beginning to the end of production of a product including the production and design of products according to customer’s taste and satisfaction.
Failure is an option
The nature of the failure is an option indicated by Dato’ Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman. He is known as 'abangterlajaklaris' and 'datukterlajaklaris' is not because something bad but because the famous slogan 'Terlajaklaris' for beauty products, D'Herbs. However, he never felt regret though society do not accept his slogan.  Moreover, people have labeled him as gentleman in social media just because of his image and his advertisement on television. But now, his products became famous because of the slogan.
Dato’ Aliff Shukri said he was willing to do anything to develop the company after facing many problems including advertising strategy despite the ridicule of his personality. He poses as a manager because he did not have employees and he also tried to be a model and founder of the cosmetic Pakistan. This strategy is not effective. "I changed strategy and appeared on television with a corporate character, but ineffective strategies. For two years he has invested money in advertising, it does not get any benefit at all," he said during an interview recently.
Recalls the story of the ups and downs of his business, Dato’ Aliff Shukri said, it's not easy to stand strong and gain the trust of the community. He said to be successful, he had to sacrifice a lot of things in his life, have a lot of confidence in the face of all challenges. "People might think I'm a lucky man, but the real triumph is not as easy as you see."

Proactive
Proactive can be defined as change or control the situation by taking the initiative and can expect the situation is going to happen and act in advance to overcome the situation.
Dato’ Aliff Syukri started taking steps to sell his own beauty products even though he knew the beauty products often dominated by women. At first, Dato’ Aliff Syukri only sell herbal medicine and health products since he was 16 years old. He was very humble person.  He started to sell the products at local farmers markets in a variety of locations. He was not so successful in his studies and from a poor family, but he was determined to be successful. Sell at the farmers market is a tough one, with financial problems, he is able to collect and save money. After he married, he began to work harder. After few years, he began to take the initiative to sell his own beauty products. With support from friends and family, he later founded the D'Herbs start with his own savings.
Because he does not have business relationship with any distributor, it is quite difficult to ask people to sell his product. Finally, he decided to give his products to stockists to be marketed without asking for money from them. His actions have resulted in his own loss of hundreds thousands ringgit.
As known in 2012, D’Herbs had been labeled as Sendirian Berhad company. After Dato’ Aliff Syukri moved to 4 storeys building, his company received many distributors and stokists because people became more confident with D’Herbs position in market. Thus, we believe that his nature of proactive had brought him to become one of successful entrepreneur.
Open Risk Taker
Entrepreneurs and risks is very synonym.  None of successful entrepreneur who does not take risk in their business. Open risk taker can be related to individual or businesses that tend to do things in many ways that has the potential to cause physical harm or financial loss, but also may be an opportunity for satisfactory results.
Dato’ Aliff Syukri was an is an entrepreneur who is willing to take risks to succeed. He was willing to take risks by venturing into a business deal based health and beauty products that is now being led by women. But he is very determined to take the risks. Even at early, he encounter problems to obtain capital, but he continued with his business. When he intends to manufacture his own brand products, Dato’ Aliff Syukri has used all his savings even he aware of the possible risk of bankruptcy. His willingness to take risks that has led to his first successful manufacture of collagen lipstick in Malaysia.
When he began market his own product, he facing so much difficulties to get confidence from customers because of perception of society toward his personalities. Not only customers, but distributors and stokists also do not have confidence towards D’Herbs products because they think a man does not know what women need for their health and beauty. Thus, Dato’ Aliff Syukri challenges himself through taking a risk which is to give his products to stokists and distributors without any charge.  Even though D’Herbs loss hundred thousands ringgit, his company finally has been known by many people throughout Malaysia and neighbors country.
The success of Dato' Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman in advancing his company has proved that the willing to take the risks is necessary for those who want to be a successful entrepreneur. This is beacuse, a career in entrepreneurship have many challenges and an entrepreneur cannot escape from risks that possible occur.
Observant
Observers may be associated with individuals who have an eye and alert to the environment. Feature an observer is important for the entrepreneurs. This is because an entrepreneur should be aware of their surroundings and always watching for the chance that there are intentions to develop the organization. The purpose of observation is to identify business opportunities available.
The characteristic of an observer in Dato’ Aliff Syukri was evident when he founded a company based on health and beauty, dominated by women. Because of the majority of its customers are women, he should be alert to their needs and requirements, who at present is always conscious beauty and health. Then, D'herbs has been marketed Jus Perawan Gold, Lipstick Collagen and much more to fullfil the demands and needs of women who want to maintain their health and beauty.
Dato’ Aliff Syukri realize the majority of its target customers are women, but he also always trying to identify the requirements and needs of men. This is evident when his company has been marketing health products specifically for men. For example, Arjuna Coffee Maxx is a special drink for men. Men nowadays always want a healthy body and energize. Therefore, he has marketed this product to help men maintain health and strengthen internal and external energy. By marketing products specifically for men have proven that Dato' Aliff Syukri also see men as one of the important resources that can advance the company.
Dato’ Aliff Syukri’s achievement has proved that an entrepreneur have to be aware of their surroundings in order to seize the opportunity to develop themselves and the organization.

Visionary
Every organizations need a vision.  Vision is the main purpose of the organization was established. What it is associated with entrepreneur is an entrepreneur shall have a vision in business and they have to put all efforts to reach their goals set.
Dato' Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman also has characteristic visionary entrepreneurs. These characteristics are evident in himself when he sets the vision of his company to be a single level that produces health and beauty products with an open concept that is easier and simpler at the same time have the best system in terms of management, effectiveness, quality and reasonable price that is affordable for all groups and can generate revenue and profits for both parties, producers and traders.

He also intends to expand his product brand as a global brand. Feature visionary is also a factor in the success of Dato’ Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman. This clearly proves that an entrepreneur needs to have a high vision if want to succeed. However efforts are needed to achieve the vision set.

Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Shahril Shamsuddin

Observant
In general meaning, observant means quick to notice or alert. Observant also is a trait that successful entrepreneur always use. In this context, observant is use by the managers to search for the problem in the community and create a product or services that can be used by people. Besides that, the managers also will analyse the strength a weakness of the organization to improve their quality in planning, organizing, leading and controlling. An article entitled “Carroll Business Path : Traits of Successful Entrepreneurs” written by Jon Weetman has describe the meaning of observant as a traits of successful entrepreneur. It says that the best entrepreneurs are very aware of the world around them. They pay attention. In fact, most ideas come from seeing things for what they are. They have noticed that something can be done, made or delivered better. The most basic premise of marketing is to find a need fill it. Based on the meaning, we can say that a good entrepreneur must quick to notice what the issues are being discussed around the world. Some examples are the rate of our money (Malaysia Ringgit) and Syria refugees. These issues are the problems that need to be solved. As a successful entrepreneur, they will observe the problem and make a strategic planning to overcome this problem whether in a short or a long term period.
Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Shahril Shamsuddin is a good example of famous entrepreneur who has the trait of observant. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Shahril Shamsuddin is currently the President and Group Chief Executive Officer and non-independent executive Director of Sapura Kencana Petroleum Berhad since 9 December 2011. Dato’ Shahril believes that to achieve greater success because it already has become part of his character. He makes his father as his mentor. He adore his father who worked hard for his business, provided them the best education, and it became the impetus for him to be like his father. He observed the people around that inspired him, and he makes his father as a good example to learn to be like him.
Before the year of 1997, he was working with family-owned business, telecom Sapura, was installing software-management systems at Kuala Lumpur airport, introducing pre-paid phone cards and rolling out a mobile-phone network. However, the fast changing market conditions and red ink hits Sapura, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Shahril Shamsuddin was started to realize he has to change direction. He left the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to work on a master’s in technology management and in 1997 he was ready to jump into an entirely different industry, oil and gas. He worked hard for it and he has steered the company into a range of new businesses and projects in Malaysia, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Vietnam, China, West Africa and several other countries. Mokhzani Mahathir, the second son of Malaysia’s our fourth prime minister, Mahathir Mohamad. He merged his Kencana Petroleum with Shamsuddin’s outfit in 2012, and given the newly formed Sapura Kencana the breadth and depth of operations to bid for the biggest contracts around the world. Most importantly, by today Sapura Kencana Petroleum competes globally to supply offshore exploration and drilling services to giants such as Exxon Mobil, Shell, BP and Chevron.

                                           Tan Sri Lim Wee Chai
Visionary
Any success in life must always begin with a vision. A visionary entrepreneur is one who is able to see what others are not able to see. In other words this class of entrepreneurs have the right kind of picture in their mind that lets them know what will be the outcome of their business venture. While every business in an investment, entrepreneurs are actually into building an asset. When the business unfolds and flourishes the way you wanted it to, then you would either prefer to keep it or sell it. If you are keeping it, the meaning is you are buying your business yourself. Remember, you will always want to buy something that is really worth the price and this should be the prime concern of an entrepreneur in developing the business to excellent heights. A visionary entrepreneur does exactly this when he ventures into his business idea. Visionary entrepreneurs differ from business owners in the sense that they have a prior vision of what they want to do and achieve in their life. Vision is important because to success of a business since no one wants to wind up a business after years of toiling with it as an overworked and underpaid employee. Visionary entrepreneurs work with a vision of how their business is going to do in every detail connected with it and what it is likely to produce. They always strive hard to put workable and right system in place to turn their vision into reality. This is where a visionary entrepreneur differs from others and this mind set helps him or her reap overwhelming success from the venture. (www.zindya.com)
One of the example of entrepreneur who has the trait of visionary is Tan Sri Lim Wee Chai, which is the founder of Top Glove Group of Companies which was established in 1991. TASK 1 A

TASK 1 A
Introduction

The entrepreneur is an individual who, rather than working as an employee, runs a small business, and assumes all the risk and reward of a given business venture, idea, or good or service offered for sale. The entrepreneur is commonly seen as a business leader and innovator of new ideas and business processes. Entrepreneurs play a key role in any economy. These are people who have the skills and initiative necessary to take good new market ideas to market and make the right decisions to make the idea profitable. The reward for the risks taken is the potential economic profits the entrepreneur could earn. To become an entrepreneur, we must have the traits that highly needed and applied to operate the business by the entrepreneurs. Some of the traits are networked, open risk taker, observant, visionary, failure is an option, open culture, outcome oriented, team oriented and proactive.

Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun
Networked
In era science and technology benefits the business field to develop and make new contacts in business world through communication with other individuals. Networked can be means that a group of people or organizations that are closely connected and that work with each other in order to achieve the organization’s objectives and goals. In business, entrepreneurial networks are social organization offering different types of resources to start or improve entrepreneurial projects. Having adequate human resources is a key. The ability to network is one of the most crucial skills that entrepreneur should have. But many are put off by the idea of networking, thinking that it may requires a phony, glad-handling personality that to show the insincerity. Nothing could be further from the truth. Moreover, a good networker should be outgoing, sincere, friendly and supportive, a good listener or someone who will follow up and stays in touch with other people. These are the skills that an effective and good networkers needs. A large collection of business cards and a huge contact list does’t make you an expert at networking. Buildings value based relationships that are truly meaningful is what networked all about and these are the relationships that lead to business opportunities and long term relationships that are mutually beneficial. For the example, many entrepreneur go to the networking events, but a very few of them know how to network nicely and effectively with the other people. Networking is more than just getting out and meeting with other people. However, networking is a structured plan to get to know people who are willing to do business with you introduce you to those who are willing. So, the best way to succeed at the networking is to make a plan, commit to it, learn networking skills and execute plan. To make the best plan, you need to ask yourself what you want to achieve from these business, where do my customers and prospects go to network and how can I build my image and my business’s image in order to attract the customers.
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun is an example of a successful entrepreneur who has the trait of networked. He is the sole founder of The Berjaya Group or known as Berjaya Corporation Berhad in 1984 which is a Malaysia-based large corporation which operating variety of businesses, including resorts, gambling, food and beverage and property. With his excellent networked skill, he able to communicate with entrepreneurs in different fields by attending several events and sharing his ideas and interest on diversifying entity engaged in the core businesses. He dare to take risk on purchasing the Malaysia McDonald’s franchise in 1980. His good networking skills with the franchisor by deliberating the business opportunity given in doing franchise business with a legal agreement between two parties. Besides that, he diverse his businesses and engage it in core businesses. Until now, he owns this private businesses such as Berjaya Assets Berhad which involved in property management, investment and development, theme park operation and others. His wholly-owned subsidiary, Berjaya Times Square Sdn Bhd operates a shopping mall, Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur. He concerns about telecommunication by aiming to make a difference in the telecommunication industry. U Mobile was the first telecommunication company to provide the fastest internet connection in Malaysia following the call of the Ministry of Information, Communications and Culture of Malaysia to support the government’s national agenda of providing constantly-improving broadband access to the diverse communities of Malaysia. Therefore, he joined as a stakeholder of U Mobile Sdn Bhd to help in expanding the businesses which provide relevant mobile services to targeted customers in both the consumer and enterprise segments.

Tan Sri Dr Anthony Francis Fernandes
Open Risk Taker
To start a business, an entrepreneur must be having the brave to take risk and challenges that will be coming to. Risk can be defined as a possibility of failure or loss in pursuing some activity or event that related to a business. Risk bearing and entrepreneurship are inseparable from each other. Some of the most successful entrepreneurs took major risks, and they paid off in a big way. Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran turned a $ 1000 loan into $ 5 billion dollar real estate business that she sold for $ 66 million back in 2001. When most people hear the word “risk” they relate it to financial risk, but in the case of Corcoran the initial financial investment wan’t very risks. The risk came into play when she went all in, devoting 100 percent to making her business work with such a small amount of seed capital. Many would assume it isn’t possible to start a business with very little money, but those who aren’t afraid to take risks don’t see thing such as limited funding as handicap.
Tan Sri Dr Anthony Francis Fernandes, who also known as Tony Fernandes is one of the entrepreneurs who have the characteristics of open risk taker entrepreneurs. He was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Air Asia and founder of Tune Group and currently serve as Group Chief Executive Officer Director of Air Asia Berhad. He introduced the first budget no-frills airline, Air Asia, to Malaysians with the slogan “Now everyone can fly” to encourage Malaysian to travel with lost cost flight ticket. He made a decision to buy the loss-making Air Asia and then transformed it from a small and struggling airline. Actually at October 2001, he meet Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and advised him to buy the Airline. Tun Dr Mahathir advised Fernandes to buy an existing airline, Air Asia, which was the heavily indebted subsidiary of the Malaysian government-owned that time. Fernandes took risk and bought Air Asia for a token of RM 1.00, but with that RM 1.00 came with a whopping of RM 40 million debt and two ageing Boeing planes. He dare to mortgage his house and use up most of his personal savings to sustain and grow Air Asia. However, a year later, he was able to clear off all the debt and the initial public offering (IPO) showed it was oversubscribed by 130 percent. With his observant, he believe that Malaysian will prefer a cut-rate air service would help to save more money and time especially in a tight economy. Therefore, he dare to take risk by providing the new budget carries by open up to countries within the region. The history of Air Asia and Tan Sri Dr Anthony Francis Fernandes had given a deep insight about the observant trait of a successful entrepreneur.

TASK 1 A

                                            Robert Kiyosaki
Proactive
Proactive that had been defined by the Meriam-Webster dictionary is controlling a situation by making things happen or by preparing for future problems. It also means the ability to spot the opportunities. For the information, proactive personality has been found to be one of the prime predictor of entrepreneurial success. People with the strong proactive personality have a tendency to act or to think in a particular way towards taking intentional action to influence their situation and environment. This mind set focuses on the belief that you create your environment but it is not focused upon you without an opportunity to control it. Action and result oriented behaviour, instead of the one that waits for thing to happen and then try to adjust (react) to them. Proactive behaviour aims at identification and exploitation of opportunities and in talking peremptory action again potential problems and threats, whereas reactive behaviour focuses on fighting a five or solving a problem after it occurs. Becoming a successful entrepreneur requires many skills. One of the key components of being an entrepreneur is planning ahead. You need to know your business inside and out. There are many aspects that you cannot control in the real world and that is the reality of being an entrepreneur. However, you can maintain some control by being proactive. Being proactive means “Creating or controlling a situation by causing something to happen rather than responding to it has happened”. This is a vital skill in the entrepreneur world.
Taken for example is a famous businessman is
Robert Kiyosaki who is a seminal entrepreneur. Kiyosaki found international fame self-publishing the best-selling personal finance classic Rich Dad Poor Dad and has made millions establishing financial literacy programs to help others achieve financial independence. (Kiyosaki, 2016) One of Kiyosaki's first business lessons he learned from his Rich Dad was experiencing the “Rat Race”. His Rich Dad was able to achieve this by making Kiyosaki and his friend Mike work in one of his grocery stores for three hours for ten cents an hour pay. Within a couple weeks, Kiyosaki, grew tired of being exploited for labour, demanded that he receive a pay raise, but instead, his Rich Dad cut his pay and told him to work for free as a fundamental financial lesson. Kiyosaki and his friend Mike eventually learned the lesson later by starting a comic book library business. Kiyosaki learned of the opportunity through while working in his town’s general store stacking cans.
One day, he saw the manager trashing the previous month’s comics to make room for newer editions. Robert then took advantage of this opportunity by asking for old comics – still in excellent condition and then utilized the old comics to start his own comic book library in his friend’s basement. The comic book library soon became a neighbourhood success and Kiyosaki employed Mike's sister for $1 a week to manage the store. The comic book library soon boomed and Kiyosaki and his friend averaged $9.50 USD in weekly revenue. The comic library lesson later taught Kiyosaki the importance of starting his own successful business in order to take control of his own personal finances.

As conclusion, this may be the key to why some traders succeed over time, adapting to ever-changing markets, while others do not.  If a trader's primary motivation is proactive creation, then he or she will sustain innovation.  When we think of the great business leaders, they are not just entrepreneurs--they are serial entrepreneurs.  The rage to create ensures that great traders will remain creative, continually searching for fresh opportunity.  It's what traders do when they make money that reveals their capacity for long-term success. (Steenbarger, 2014)

TASK 1 A

TASK 1 A

                                     Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong
Failure is an Option
Failure is always an option, a phrase popularized by Adam Savage from MythBusters, is a powerful ideology all of us should embrace. It runs counter to the old saying by buttoned-down military commanders, managers, football coaches and other commonly associated power figures that failure is not an option. That phrase was (and still is) used by managers of all levels and types in a misguided attempt at motivation. However, it’s unlikely to motivate smart folk and wouldn’t be used it they understood the true motivations behind creative individuals. The old notion of failure not being an option is irrelevant to digital professionals. Failure is a beautiful things, and if we organize our business around it, we can again a serious advantage over competitors who think they’re infallible and spend inordinate amounts of time trying to be perfect versus trying lots of things, failing like crazy, and seeing what sticks. The truth is we all fail, every one of us, and when we really stop and remove the societal stigmas associated with it, we realize it’s not actually a negative. It we’re organized properly to take advantage of the web there is no such thing as failure. Actually, the only real cost of failure in modern business is wasting time worrying about it. This is because we should be getting data from everything we’re doing, and like a meteorologist using that feedback to constantly improve our methods. Data is now every one’s domain and if we don’t understand how to use it yet, it’s time to lean.
The trait of failure is an option that can be apply on a successful entrepreneur has been proven by the founder of Genting Highlands Resort, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong. Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong said, “Once the goals have been clearly defined, with the greatest amount of determination and hard work, one can conclusively realize one’s goals. When he popped out with idea of transform isolated mountain into a world class resort, the people around him as the project is hopeless and wasting time. However, he invested all of the financial resource that he possessed and time. The success of the project seem as a must because of the failure would drag him to bankruptcy. In the beginning, the problem like utility supply, sewerage system and access road are the obstacle to Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong to solve it. Unexpectedly with his courage and effort of hardship, the construction of the road was finished in less than four years, where it estimated will take around 15 years to finish. In the middle of the project, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong faced financial troubles. He tried to seek financial help from his friends, but again they suggested dropping the entire project and turning him down. From his hardship and determination, the whole Genting Highlands project had been completed in the year 1971, even though all of these issues had blocked him towards the success path. The spirit of his determination and making failure is an option made him to the success path.

Open Culture
“Open Culture” is a concept according to with knowledge should be spread freely and its growth should come from developing, altering or enriching already existing works on the basic of sharing and collaboration, without being restricted by rules linked to the legal protection of intellectual property. Open culture can give the meaning that is to change the way we work or the environment in our workplace.
